DraperVENT is growing, and to support that growth we’re looking to hire a Storesperson for our Wimborne warehouse in Dorset

Who are we?

DraperVent provide an innovative ‘one stop shop’ for computerised climate control and flock management systems for commercial poultry housing.  One of only a handful of businesses in the UK pioneering this technology and growing extensively, the future is bright for our growth.

What you’ll be doing.

Day to day responsibility of the warehouse, and working directly for the Supply and Projects Manager, no two days will be the same in a busy, hands-on role, taking responsibility for all administration in relation to purchasing, stock and deliveries.

You’ll manage the storage and despatch of goods from the warehouse, receive and check deliveries, keep stock control systems up to date and make sure the all-important inventories are accurate.

An effective problem solver, you will quickly identify issues with purchase orders, deliveries and stock discrepancies, ensuring they are resolved appropriately.

You’ll also be overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment, as well as maintaining a high level of cleanliness and ensuring that the warehouse adheres to Health & Safety standards.

We’re a busy, team-orientated business so you will also get involved with order assembly, loading/unloading vehicles and general warehouse duties.

Who you’ll be?

An experienced warehouse person who enjoys a bustling, hands-on environment.  You’ll know your way around stock and inventory systems and quickly and easily identify and solve problems

You’ll be completely adaptable depending on the demands of the business.  You will also have the capability to use your initiative to offer support to the Purchasing Manager when required.

Perhaps you’re currently working in a warehouse environment and looking for the next step up in your career?  If so – this could be the opportunity for you.

A Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

What’s in it for you.

You’ll be given the opportunity to work in your own initiative, to make a difference to current systems and procedures, and build on your existing skills.

A salary of £25,000 pa for a standard 40-hour week of 8:30am – 5pm, there may be some flexibility on hours if needed.

The opportunity to grow with an ambitious, entrepreneurial business, pioneering in its industry.
