Broughton Transport Solutions are expanding. We have a new role for an experienced Transport Manager, based at our Head Office in Broughton Gifford. This is an opportunity to work with our own impressive fleet of vehicles and state of the art trailers.

Based in Wiltshire we have established an enviable reputation both locally and internationally for the quality of our haulage and transport services. We have seen impressive growth year on year and that growth is set to continue, as a local transport business that is big enough to cope – but small enough to care.
What you’ll be doing.
Working closely with the entrepreneurial founder of the business you will be you will be directly responsible for the day to day running of the Transport Office and managing a team of staff, motivating them to achieve planned targets and deadlines
You will have full responsibility of coordinating the vehicle delivery fleet and drivers, liaising with customers to manage their expectations. We have an enviable reputation in our market, and you will play a key role in maintaining and building on that. Also, we’ll look to you to keep accurate records such as vehicle service documentation, tachographs and vehicle defect reports, along with the filing and dispatching of Proof of Deliveries in line with road transport and working time regulations.
You will also be working with the pallet network side of the business to ensure full utilisation of vehicles.
Who you’ll be?
You’ll have a passion for transport and logistics and thrive in a busy environment where every day is different.
You’ll relish fresh challenges and take pride in client satisfaction, always putting the customer first. You will already work in a similar environment, likely a family run or small transport business, and you’ll have obtained a Drivers CPC, ideally International. Also you will have an understanding of pallet networks and HGV mechanics/operation.
You’ll be passionate about building long standing customer relationships and take a proactive approach to problem solving. Being the key point of contact between staff and customers, you’ll be a confident communicator at all levels.

You will be joining a family run business with an open, friendly culture. The working hours, 7.30am – 5.30pm Mon - Fri but we hope that you’d be flexible on that if we needed you to be.
In addition, we can offer a competitive salary of £30k to £35k per annum depending on your experience.
