Sweet Construct are growing, and to drive that growth we’re hiring an Assistant Site Manager to work on a large commercial construction project in Enfield.  This is a fixed term contract until March 2020, and there will be a requirement for weekend work.

What you’ll be doing 

You’ll be assisting the Site Manager on a variety of projects with a value of £8million upwards, establishing standards of quality on site and ensuring delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements. 

We’ll expect you to organise the works and supply chain, ensuring you maintain the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades.  

You’ll confidently lead and motivate the works team, providing clear direction and responding to queries to ensure consistent delivery of a quality product. 

Leading by example you’ll seamlessly establish standards of quality on site and ensure the timely delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements. 

Who you’ll be? 

You’ll have previous experience in similar role, within a construction environment, supporting the Site Manager to lead and drive the success of the site team.  You’ll have some experience in working alongside on-site management to lead and motivate a team, within either a team leader or team supervisor capacity.

Naturally, you’ll have the ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications, conveying them to the team. 

You’ll have a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects.  You’ll also have strong organisation skills, confidently managing the works and supply chain ensuring you create and nurture the right working environment to maximise on time and efficiency. 

In addtion - to be considered for the role, we are looking for:

Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or time served equivalent 

Appropriate CSCS card 

SMSTS certificate 

First Aid at Work certificate 

Valid driving licence
