Sweet Construct are growing, and to drive that growth we’re hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), based at our Head Offices in Flax Bourton, but travelling across our site locations, to support and develop our biggest asset – our people.

Sweet Construct are a busy family run Construction Company based in Nailsea and Flax Bourton, with a turnover £40m with approximately 60 employees.  Rapidly growing, and recently rebranded, we’re transforming the face of modern construction.  The company has a goal to attract and develop talented individuals who can grow and progress with the business

The role 

The HRBP will work directly with the Senior Leadership Team, in a hands-on capacity.  You’ll have the opportunity to identify and deliver strategic HR and people initiatives – always challenging and motivating others.  This role will allow you to design and deliver the company’s people strategies.

The HRBP will work across sites throughout the South-West to delivery commercially focused HR advice as well as coaching managers to effectively lead and develop their teams to optimise individual and site performance.

Who you’ll be? 

You’ll be CIPD qualified and already have demonstrable experience working at leadership and influencer level.  If you have experience of working in a multisite environment, particularly within a construction business then you have the advantage.  If you haven’t, you can use your diverse skill set and apply it to this new environment, making it your own.

You’ll bring with you a commercial outlook, your ability to advise at all levels within the business and be able to think ahead, making conscious, confident decisions to benefit our people and the business.

You’ll be the person to coach and influence managers and their teams to effectively support and monitor performance, alongside demonstratable experience in ER support. 

We’ll also be looking to you to collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to review existing practises and bring with you new ideas and strategy, complimenting your experience in reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and processes to ensure that you keep the company in line with ever-changing legislations.

You’ll have the satisfying task of implementing reward policies to support and advance organisational objectives, and whilst driving this strategy you’ll be able to demonstrate the importance of embracing diversity.  You’ll utilise people data to shape the future at this company and become an advocate for our values, loyalty and sense of community.
