Kerr Office Group is growing, and to support that growth, we’re hiring for a Head of Design. You’ll be working closely with the Head of Sales to lead and develop our design team using your industry experience and passion for interiors, transforming our client’s ideas into reality.

What you’ll be doing?

You’ll have the exciting opportunity to really showcase your passion for design, both creatively and commercially and demonstrate daily why you will be the perfect addition to our team and asset to the company.  You will be leading the in-house design team, with an aim to create truly inspirational spaces that match the vision, goals and objectives of our clients.  Your will bring your imagination to life through visually spectacular presentations, all wrapped around specific client expectation which you will always aim to exceed.

Working closely with the Head of Sales you’ll be visiting potential clients to conduct a workplace analysis, establishing objectives and proactivity building the best client concept which you will ultimately bring to fruition with passion and a desire for perfection. Through this collaborative approach, you will oversee each project through to completion.

You’ll be responsible for the planning and design elements of projects, working closely with the design team to prepare insight led workspace plans, mood boards, furniture and interior specifications, delivered to the client on time and within budget.  You’ll love juggling multiple projects and will be in your element managing project schedules and workloads.  All of this will be done to your exacting standards and specifications and you will inspire others to aim as high.

You will be the face of Kerr and the hub of communication for our clients, delivering a seamless service within their expectations and with the minimum of disruption.  Your know-how and drive will shine through in each action you undertake your and mean that your finished product is always something you are proud of.

Who you’ll be?

You’ll live and breathe all things creative.  Using your previous experience in a commercial interiors design department you’ll have an impressive knowledge of workplace insights; from commercial furniture to human interaction and collaboration. You will apply your expertise to cultivate an environment of wellbeing, innovation and growth.  You will be proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup and have good knowledge of various design packages.

You are a confident communicator, always mindful of obtaining a positive and productive outcome from each meeting.  You excel at painting your vision for others and demonstrating, how you can bring these creative concepts to life.  You will be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject or have solid interior design/ architecture experience in a similar environment.
