Wheelers is growing and to support that growth we’re hiring what some companies may call a  Project Manager, or a Contracts Manager, or a Contracts Support Manager - however its pitched we are looking for a forward thinking, proactive go-getter to work with us at our  Westbury offices within our Contracts Department.

As a key role with the department, you’ll be managing projects to successful completion including financial and risk management whilst ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained.  You'll be confident in identifying contracting opportunities and ensuring these opportunities are evaluated and progressed.  There's the usual day-to-day management of contract staff, materials and subcontractors and of course, the monthly reports on project performance.

No two days will be the same so if you love diversity then we can keep you entertained with the monitoring and managing of staff performance ensuring that direct reports have access to all the information and equipment they need to carry out their duties safely.  You'll be taking care of the company's interests too by identifying and managing areas of risk whilst managing, recording and accounting for contract changes. 

So you may be asking what skills do you need?  Well, you’ll have had experience in a similar role, preferably within a similar sector and have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.   You’re a natural problem solver, who’s analytical skills and business acumen matches your planning and organisational abilities, ensuring you deliver results.

You’re a great collaborator, you understand that negotiation, relationship management and interpersonal communication are key in a role such as this, as is your experience in carrying out detailed surveys of installations and recording your findings.  Most importantly, your skillset matches a proven ability to command a role and make it your own.  We will match your commitment to us by providing a secure and progressive environment for you to work in.
