Do you want to be a part of solving our client’s (and the planet’s) problems step by step? Are you interested in harnessing the power and potential of data, supporting businesses to be more efficient, profitable and sustainable?

SustainIt is growing and to support that growth we’re hiring a Project Coordinator (Technical) working from our head office in Bristol (remotely for now, though we would like to see you one to two days a week when possible) who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sustainability industry.

Not only do we offer a salary of £30-£35,000 dependant on experience, there’s flexible working hours (minimum 30) and location (Homeworking/central Bristol office), 22 days holiday plus 1 day off for your birthday! Additional day of annual leave per each completed year of service (up to 3 additional days), Cycle to work scheme(that also include e-bikes) with annual bicycle service at the office, pension contribution and as if that wasn’t enough, we have frothy coffee mornings, team lunches and a monthly quiz!  All this while working for a family run company who really care, not just about seriously important stuff like sustainability and the environment, but you, your personal development opportunities and your value to them – amazing right?

So what will you be doing? Working as a member of the Support and Delivery Team you’ll be working across a range of customers and projects, from project inception, through execution and into on-going support.  Contributing to project proposal documents and identifying and providing solutions for clients with sustainability data management issues.  You’ll be managing said sustainability solutions including data checking, auditor liaison and global integration projects while taking charge of project management and support of multiple client projects in order to provide technical support for software, including system developments and enhancements.

You’ll be undertaking detailed data monitoring and investigation to improve data quality and timeliness, designing and delivering software training (internal and external) and from time to time you may be required to travel and represent the company at key conferences and events all over the globe – you’ll be our very own version of Greta Thunberg!

What skills do I need I hear you ask?  You’ll have demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects and keeping your work clearly organised.  You don’t need to be Bill Gates but you do have a high level working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - especially Excel - and practical experience as a user or administrator of systems used to collect data on environmental factors, health and safety or operational risk

You’ll have previously had hands-on involvement in the introduction of new business systems and/or the on-going support of highly configurable business systems.  You’ll need to have a sound knowledge of an area of sustainability, this is essential if you’re going to be able to understand what our customers are talking about!

You sweat the small stuff and take care in your work so that you deliver to a consistently excellent standard (inaccuracy is a dirty word in our world).  You’re a real “roll your sleeves up” kind of person, willing to get stuck in and driven to learn new things and keep up to date with the advances of the industry.

Since 2006, we’ve helped organisations around the world, from SMEs to FTSE 500s, improve their non-financial data and reach their sustainability goals. We understand that managing data can be daunting and that navigating the shifting sands of the sustainability sector requires a certain skill-set.  Our approach includes over 40 years’ combined industry knowledge with technical acumen, strategic thinking and creative problem solving, to help our clients get the most out of their data and make the changes they want to see.
