In these times of uncertainty wouldn’t it be great to work for a company who can offer stability and progression?

Haven Fire and Security is recruiting for a Fire and Security Service Engineer working from our Trowbridge office maintaining sites within the Bristol and Dorchester areas.

Size matters and this is your chance to work for the largest fire alarm company in the South! We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience, a pension scheme, company van and overtime! There’s no busy commute to work and we pride ourselves on the personal investment we give to our staff.  If you are looking for a job where you are valued then read on!

As part of our growing team you’ll be providing routine and  reactive maintenance to properties in the Bristol and Dorchester area, servicing fire alarms, fire extinguishers,  non-essential and emergency lighting as well as out of hours support – there is a rota for this, so you won’t always be on call.

Working closely with the service coordinator you’ll be ensuring all works are completed and rescheduled if appropriate.  You’ll support our customers and the wider operations team including sales and administration and providing technical support and supervision to your colleagues by way of ensuring that the guidelines and standards of work expected are met.

So what skills are we looking for?  You’ll have a proven ability to trouble shoot, being used to undertaking in-depth problem solving and analysis, identifying and suggesting appropriate courses of action, specifically related to issues and maintenance related to fire detection and alarm systems.  You’ve got a broad experience working within domestic and commercial properties.  If you have gained a City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2 electrical installation then you’ll be ahead of the game and we would really like to hear from you if you are qualified to 17th or 18th Edition.  You’ll be up-to-date with all aspects of appropriate Health and Safety which is part of your natural quality focus.

You’re a real team player with a positive and friendly attitude and your natural ability to adapt to situations quickly and effectively, has given you a demonstrable background of delivering results.  You genuinely care about doing a great job and knowing that our customers are happy.  You’ll need a clean, valid driving license in order to get around and get the work done.

Haven Fire Security Consultants was formed in 1982 as a fire alarm service and maintenance provider from the technical staff of a major industry player. The need was so great within the industry that we soon were offering the full industry package of scheme design, supply, installation (if required), commissioning and maintenance.
