Earthfare is an ethical, organic health retailer based in Glastonbury with an exciting expansion plan for the Southwest and to support that growth we’re hiring a Store Manager for our busy Glastonbury Eco Grocery store, ensuring our staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store.

Our business is ambitious – few other organic wholefood shops can match us for our range of products, (you should see our chocolate range!) and this is your chance to be a part of this retail revolution!  We offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, a pension scheme and 28 days holiday per year, plus all the training on our products that you can absorb!  This role is full time, 48 hours per week to include evenings and weekends.

As a key leader in our business, you’ll be dealing with customer queries and complaints, overseeing pricing and stock control, hitting and achieving KPIs for Turnover, Waste, store costs and maximising profitability.  You’ll believe in what we are trying to achieve and will undertake training and knowledge sharing, staff recruitment, retention and performance management.  We have a growing home delivery service and so your input here will be pivotal in ensuring we uphold our vision of “right, first time”.

You’ll be our store standards champion with a real eye for presenting our stock and promotions to their best advantage, to ensure our local customer base has the best experience while shopping with us.  You’ll also be overseeing the running of our busy deli providing hot soup, cappuccinos, flat whites, turmeric lattes, hot chocolate as well as sandwiches and samosas for our shoppers - with Christmas coming up these will prove very popular.

So who are we looking for?  You’ll have a strong and demonstrable background in Management within a retail setting, ideally a supermarket so you know your onions!  You’ll motivate the team by leading the way with bundles of energy and great leadership.  You’re a positive communicator who is adept at delegating and completing tasks and creating job satisfaction for the whole team.   Adaptable and resilient your work ethic revolves around the customer experience and you understand the importance of teamwork as we delight our customers with healthy products and service in every single way.
