Customer Liaison Supervisor (Retail)

Earthfare is an ethical, organic health retailer based in Glastonbury and we are now hiring for a Customer Liaison Supervisor to work with our amazing team ensuring our customers still have the best experience when they come and shop with us through December. This role will be pivotal in making this happen over the upcoming festive period. The vacancy is for 7 days per week and offered as a job share, working shifts between busy shopping periods of 11am – 5pm, including weekend work. This is a temporary position of around 3 months to start with but there is a possibility for the contract to be extended.
You could think of this role as being our Store Ambassador as you’ll be overseeing the customer experience in our shop making it a pleasant and safe experience. We have all had to change the way we shop this year and at Earthfare, we take the safety of our customers and staff very seriously, so you’ll be marshalling the store entrance (you won’t need a black suit and sunglasses) helping our customers to adhere to COVID-related restrictions and encouraging people to maintain social distancing whilst they shop.
You’ll be managing and entertaining – yes entertaining – any queue that may develop outdoors in order to maintain a positive vibe for shoppers, amateur dramatists are encouraged to apply! There’ll be some “queue-busting”; helping to direct shoppers to the best available tills and minimising the waiting time for customers, you can even encourage them to take another walk around the store in case they missed any of our fabulous deals, get them signed up for our reward scheme or maybe encourage them to stop off at our Deli for a delicious turmeric latte!
You’ll also be needed within the store to help our team with overall tidiness and presentation, ensuring that Health and Safety guidelines are always in place and because you’re a natural entertainer – you’ll be able to keep staff morale buoyant during our busiest times.
