SustainIt are hiring! What for? Well some companies may call this role a Sales Manager or a New Business Development Manager or even a Sales and New Business Development Manager – whatever the title, we are looking for someone who shares our passion for sustainability and who wants to be part of a revolutionary company making a difference every day. Someone who can develop our sales pipeline and ensure the business exceeds its targets and who has an impressive background within the sustainability sector.
Not only are we able to offer a salary of up to £30,000 with a commission scheme, there’s flexible working hours (the role is full time 37.5 hours a week) and location (Homeworking/central Bristol office), 22 days holiday plus 1 day off for your birthday! Additional day of annual leave per each completed year of service (up to 3 additional days), Cycle to work scheme(that also include e-bikes) with annual bicycle service at the office, pension contribution and as if that wasn’t enough, we have frothy coffee mornings, team lunches and a monthly quiz! As an experienced and ambitious Sales Development professional you’ll help us fill the top of our sales funnel by contacting prospective clients using existing channels as well as new ones. You’ll be making a difference by educating prospects about our sustainability data expertise and helping them to understand how it will fit their needs. By using a variety of innovative lead generation techniques you’ll be able to find new clients, experiment with different lead-gen tactics and combine them across multiple channels. You’ll be working closely with the marketing team to develop sales and marketing campaigns, whilst using CRM software to manage prospects and track activity.
If you’ve been hiding your light under a bushel we’ll also be giving you a chance to hit the spotlight as you’ll be attending and speaking at relevant industry conferences and events globally (once things return to a semblance of normality in the world).
What skills will you be needing? You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience with high-value services contacting global enterprise customers within the sustainability sector and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of generating qualified leads and problem solution. Your resourcefulness and persistence to reach Director-level prospects in large organisations is legendary as is your ability to listen to customer needs and be able to educate them on the benefits of partnering with SustainIt, through a consultative sales approach.
You’re certainly no “Jack” as you are constantly thinking outside of the box when it comes to troubleshooting. You find that people are naturally drawn to you which has allowed you to build and maintain long term relationships. Your persuasive personality shines through as you write and present one winning proposal after another!
