Wheelers is growing and if you’re looking to work for a local company with a great reputation, you might be interested to know that we’re hiring for a Service Manager to work with us at our Trowbridge Fire & Security offices. 

 

The perks?  This is a key role within our team, working closely with our General Manager to manage the service-related works (routine service and reactive calls) of the fire and security clients. The job details bit; You’ll be managing and leading the service department, regularly reviewing service forecasts and service data and aiming for that all important 100% KPI target! This will also involve dealing with our customer enquiries and ensuring they are responded to in a timely manner.  There will be the usual contract and job costing reviews and carrying out site visits to ensure that our engineers are working safely and according to process.

 

You’ll be organising all relevant documentation, materials, plant and subcontractors as required for each project and conducting regular health and safety audits and “toolbox talks” with the service team.

 

The “who are you” bit; You’re a result orientated self-starter with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement, both in provision of service and delivery.  You know the right way to do things and are constantly reviewing current practices to ensure we are offering the best possible service.  A strong communicator, with a demonstrative background in successful liaison with all stakeholders within a business and its wider client base.

An energetic, upbeat manager who believes that people are our best asset.  Able to motivate and mentor a team with a diverse skillset, able to confidently undertake staff performance reviews and implement any training programmes/further action as appropriate.  A strong influential character, calm under pressure and who is keen to constantly look to improve how we do things and implement change where necessary. 

You’ll absolutely need to have Fire and Security industry skills and/or experience gained within a similar role at management level and within the Fire and Security sector, if you’re to be successful in this position. Commercially astute, your negotiation and influencing skills are legendary as is your ability to source new business.
